For awhile there I felt really confident. I felt great without make-up on. I felt skinny. I felt pretty. I felt happy. I don’t know what happened. Maybe reality set in. I’m wearing more make-up everyday. I feel so overweight for someone my age and size. I don’t feel pretty. I don’t feel happy. Truthfully, I’m just pretending to be confident. All of my friends wear little to no make-up, and most of them are about ten pounds lighter than I am. And they all have boys running at them this way and that. My legs feel too short and fat. I have no butt. My stomach makes me look pregnant, and I spend everyday in public sucking in my stomach. I have a terrible double chin thing going on. My hips are…awkward. I just don’t feel confident.
I hear people talking about anorexia and how it’s bad for you, but I don’t know…right now it sounds okay. I want to go vegetarian, but my mom legit won’t let me. I want to eat less, but I have zero self control when it comes to food. I’ve been doing multiple crunches, planks, wall sits, jogging, etc. One of my friends said she went anorexic for a day er so, and she felt really good and skinny. I know people are always like “weight doesn’t matter”, but for someone who’s always been considered skinny, I just feel so bad about myself. I don’t want to talk to anyone about it because I don’t want anyone to think I have an eating disorder, because I don’t…not yet.
I don’t know what to do. I just want to stop eating food forever. I wish I were skinnier. But I know wishing isn’t going to do anything, I have to do it myself. SO I think I’m going to.
That’s legit all I’ve been thinking lately. I’m terrified of becoming over-weight, in fact I’d rather be under-weight. And then I realized so many other people out there feel the same way as me. So I’ve devised a plan.
Stage Uno: Weight
I know that I won’t diet. Like I said, I have no self control when it comes to food. So instead of dieting, I’ll just cut back on some of the things I eat. Like Flaming Hot Cheetos. I’m completely cutting back on sugar. I’m done. It really does make me feel bad after eating it. I’ll get more fruits and vegetables into my diet, and definitely cut back on salt. So even though my mom won’t let me become a vegetarian, I’ll be close.
I’ll start exercising more. Keep doing crunches, planks, wall sits. In fact I’ll start doing them while, say, watching TV, or being on the computer. I can do a new exercise every time a new commercial comes on. Tearing out the exercise articles in my Seventeen magazines, and start doing those. Maybe doing pilates.
I hope whoever decides to read this will maybe try with me. I’d be great to not be alone. lmfao.
Stage Dos: Confidence
Even though I like make-up I want to go a week without wearing it (even though I just bought this great new mascara). Just to show everyone who I really am. I want to smile more, because smiling is A) Good for you; and B) Good for people around you.
Those are all I have right now, I’m just starting simple. In fact I have no idea how to any of this, but I’m going to anyway.(:
xoxo Free life.
Let me start out by gleefully saying “HAPPY NEW YEAR!” I totes missed it on the day, so I’m saying it now.(: Now, since it is TwentyTwelve(2012) I’ve decided that one of my resolutions would be to make this blog successful. So I created a YouTube channel where you can see me (TheFreeLifeLived) in action! I’ll do make-up, hair, and fashion advice. Oh, and fragrance. And that’s what my topic is for today! Perfume.
So I was looking up reviews for the Someday by Justin Bieber perfume and came across a video about perfume collections, which led me to another, which led me to another until I came across a newbie (like me) who did a perfume collection show. So instead of showing you my perfume collection for my first video, I decided to rather tell you about it here. Providing links and better explanation for why I love the scents I own, and maybe — at a later date — I will proudly showcase my wonderful collection.(: But until then here we go:
Victoria’s Secret Sweet&Flirty - This will forever be my absolute fav! It’s just a great smell, and I don’t know a girl — or guy(; — that doesn’t love it! The name says it all, it’s a light, sweet, and flirty smell. victoriassecret.com $18
Hollister Crystal Cove - Ar’ight I wouldn’t have even thought about putting this on here if my friend hadn’t gotten me hooked on it. At our school I don’t know a girl who DOESN’T have body spray in her locker, and this is the one I got her for Christmas. It is great! I use it everyday around 2nd period(: It’s a fruity smell, like kiwi & strawberry. It’s great! hollisterco.com $12
Bath&Body Works Dark Kiss - Now this scent is a couple years old, but they still sell it. My friends always use it when they come over and I don’t blame them, it’s pretty great! It’s like a raspberry, amber, vanilla smell (totally stole the ‘amber’ from the site discription. lmbo). But it’s great, you should really check it out.(: bathandbodyworks.com $12
Gilly Hicks Velvet Cassia - Okay, now I wouldn’t have even chosen this one if it wasn’t for my mom. I don’t know what it is about Gilly Hicks that turns her into such a girly-girl but it does. It’s pretty funny! She’s always finding actually cute things for me to try on, and she will literally buy me anything I say I like from that store — which is great because it’s my favorite (Hello! Party nights with hot guys, what’s not to love?) — but the thing she does the most is try out the perfumes and body sprays. She has so many in her purse! But anyway, it’s a really great scent, and I have the body wash now too. It’s another fruity scent, but fruity with a twist of sugar(: gillyhicks.com $14
Vera Wang Princess - Three words: I’m. In. Love. I’m pretty sure that it will forever be my favorite scent. I don’t even know how to explain it! It’s just…divine(; Go. Buy. One. Now!(: sephora.com $18-$75
Gilly Hicks Tamarama - I don’t know what I like so much about this perfume. In fact I don’t even know how to explain it. All I know is I had to get it because there was something hiddenly spectacular about it…? I don’t know, go smell it for yourself and see what I’m talking about. gillyhicks.com $44
Taylor Swift Wonderstruck - Every Taylor fan needs to own this. Every non-Taylor fan (is that even possible?) needs to own this. The night really is sparkling when you put this stuff on! Trust me, it’ll actually leave you…wonderstruck…(: sephora.com $18-$59.50
and yes sadly…I do own…
Justin Bieber Someday - I
am not er…was not — a fan of the Biebs…until something wonderful happened. Me and my friend were in Macy’s being bored and smelling all the perfumes and then we saw it. The Justin Bieber Someday display. I would have walked right past it if she wasn’t such a Bielieber. She sprayed it once and I was hooked. I took home like 80 of those smelly tester thingys. And then I bought the perfume&the hair spray. Oh gosh, it’s amazing, go buy some! sephora.com $18-$45
And that is it for now. But I’ll be adding tons more. So never fail to read! Thanks for reading!
Wavy Hollywood Red Carpet Hair:
Hello again(: So yesterday I had this nerdy band concert thing. Most of the kids in band are only taking it because we get to go to Disneyland. Anyway. So me and my friend decided we were gonna go Kylie/Kendall (Jenner). I got Kylie she got Kendall. My hair has been CRAP all week. I had no idea what to do with it. My make-up, well that was easy, liquid eyeliner, a natural eyeshadow, and mascara and you’re good. But my hair. Well I tried to curl it. No good. So I brushed it out, and the most amazing thing happened. It did gorgeous waves (not being self-centered) and was easy to manage after that. I pulled it all the one side, hairsprayed my bangs, and was out the door! So here’s what I did, so you guys can see if it works for you!
Things you’ll need:
- Heat Protection
- Hair Brush
- Bobby-pins or clips
Step One: Curl your hair with your straightener. The way you do this is section off your hair like you would to straighten it, but instead curl, remember: under is to curl as over is to flip.
Step Two: You will want to flip your bangs, so the flow goes backwards into the style.
Step Three: Since you curled with your straightener it should be looser, so brushing it out will create nice, soft waves.
Step Four: If you’re like me your bangs will do some weird sh*t. So twist them and pin them back with a bobby-pin for now. (You will be taking this out later)
Step Five: Pull all your hair to the side that your bangs naturally fall to. Clip, or pin your hair: behind your ear & at the back of your neck. Use as many as you need but those are the two places that are important.
Step Six: Take your bangs out. They should fall in a pretty style. If they don’t, pin them back or try to find someway to get them to work. As soon as you get the perfect flowy place, hairspray. Only your bangs though, you want the rest of your hair to stay nice and soft looking.
And now you’re done. This works for me, and I don’t know if it’ll work for you but I hope it does! Ciao dears!
